Whether it’s a movie night in the park of gigantic proportion or a midsummer music festival, there’s something for everyone all summer long!


Summer FunIndependence Day Celebration
Saturday, July 2nd • 9 am – 5 pm

George Ranch Historical Park

Celebrate our great Nation at the George Ranch. Come and let Freedom Ring together! Step back in time and experience the history of an authentic American cattle ranch and learn about the local people who made this county great. Activities for the day will include square dancing with the Houston Square and Round Dancing Council, cowboy campfire popcorn and patriotic-themed paper crafts!

Freedom Festival
Saturday, July 2nd • 6 pm – 10 pm

Katy Heritage Park

Join the annual Freedom Festival at Katy Heritage Park. Enjoy yard games, the Sandlot movie, crawfish and more. One ticket is needed for adults and children one and older. Ticket includes activities and movie. All purchases are a donation to a nonprofit and nonrefundable for any reason. Advanced tickets recommended as ticket sales are limited. Freedom Celebration

Typhoon Texas Houston

The City of Katy and Typhoon Texas are partnering for another year of Patriotic fun! Guests are encouraged to come out and enjoy a day of 4th of July fun and entertainment at Typhoon Texas. Then, stick around for the Freedom Celebration fireworks show starting at 9 pm hosted by the City of Katy. Fulshear Freedom Fest 2022

Enjoy the night with performances by three incredible bands: Bo Phillips Band, a country cover band from Stillwater, Oklahoma; The Chee-Weez from New Orleans and Queen Nation, a Queen tribute band from Los Angeles.
