A new JLB Eatery is expected to open this month in Katy. The new location will be at 5815 Franz Road, Katy, and is replacing the old Church’s Chicken. JLB Eatery also has locations in Tomball, Houston and Cypress. The restaurant sells a variety of burgers as well as sides of french fries, onion rings, tater tots and sweet potato fries. No phone number was available as of press time.

Clean Juice Morton Ranch is expected to have its grand opening in early December. Located at 2811 W. Grand Parkway N., Katy, and owned by Melissa Bonesteel, the franchise sells sandwiches, wraps, acai bowls, toast and smoothies along with cold-pressed juices and shots. It also has locations in the Heights, Richmond and The Woodlands. 713-532-9322.

Dutch Bros Coffee, an Oregon-based coffee chain founded in 1992, aims to open its first Katy-area location at 22719 Morton Ranch Road, Katy, before 2022, according to a statement from the company. The drive-thru coffee chain serves 11 states. According to its website, the specialty beverage chain prides itself on its speed, quality and service. The menu features specialty coffee, smoothies, teas, freezes and a nitrogen-infused cold brew java.

John 17:3 previously had its soft opening and had its grand opening Nov. 26. Located at 414 Grand Parkway, Ste. 100, Katy, the restaurant serves beef, chicken and meatball sandwiches as well as wings and drinks. 281-665-3988.

Stone Age Korean Bar Grill opened Oct. 18 at 20940 Katy Freeway, Ste. C, Katy. The Korean grill restaurant fuses traditional Korean cuisine with typical steakhouse selections. Its food is cooked on a hot stone, which produces less heat and smoke than a traditional grill. 832-321-5319.

Kokio Chicken had its grand opening Nov. 18 at 9006 S. Fry Road, Ste. C, Katy. The restaurant chain serves unique flavors of wings, including honey bee, garlic and orange chicken, as well as sides of waffle fries, onion rings, coleslaw and spicy rice cakes. It also has multiple locations in California.
