The National Charity League, Inc., Star Chapter (NCL, Inc.) honored the Senior Class of 2021 at the Chapter’s annual Senior Recognition Ceremony held at the Sugar Land Marriott Town Square. The event recognized each of these 25 graduating seniors for their accomplishments and contributions to the community, as well as dinner and dancing with family and friends in attendance. “The Class of 2021 has completed a six-year program designed to foster the mother-daughter relationship and empower today’s girls to become tomorrow’s leaders,” said Catherine Drury NCL, Inc., Star Chapter President. “It has been a pleasure to watch the girls grow into confident, young adults ready to embrace the world. We are very proud of them and who they have become. Whatever they choose to do, we know they will be prepared to serve, lead and be successful.”

The 2021 Fort Bend Chamber’s Chairman’s Gala was a double header for The Honorable Pete Olson, former congressman for CD 22 for 12 years. Olson was surprised with two prestigious awards honoring his years of support of Fort Bend. Sugar Land Mayor Joe Zimmerman presented Olson with the Community Spirit Award from the Chamber, and Director of Congressional and Public Affairs from the US Chamber of Commerce John Gonzales presented Olson with the Spirit of Enterprise Award.
